Strand Grafiska

Strand Grafiska is Sweden's largest producer of wet-glue labels and also an important producer of carton packaging. Embossing, foil coating and securety printing are some of our specialities that can make your products even more attractive and safe against counterfeiting. We have a turnover of about 40 MSEK and 28 employees. The company is located at the Fosie Industrial estate in Malmö, with excellent communication via Malmö's inner and outer ring roads and close to our airports, Malmö Airport and Copenhagen Airport (just 20 minutes away).

Strand Grafiska AB was founded in 1976 by Bengt Strand, who is still the sitting chairman of the board. Bengt's son, Mats Strand is now the MD. In 1983, the company bought Reklamfabriken ("advertising factory") REFA  and in 1989 another printer, Skånska Grafiska, was procured. In 1991 all these companies were merged to form one company, Strand Grafiska AB. In 1994, all operations were moved into our own premises and in 2002 the premises were extended and freshened up.

On the first of September 2003, Ekett AB in Trelleborg was procured. This has made us the largest family-owned label printers in Scandinavia. We have now moved Ekett into our own premises. In order to manage this, we have rented an external warehouse so that we can use our existing storage area for production instead. The name Ekett has gone, today we just call ourselves Strand Grafiska.

In 1996, we became Quality certified in accordance with ISO 9002 and in 2001 we became Environmentally certified in accordance with ISO 14001. Since we know that certain customers, both existing and future, require that their suppliers are certified and thus have traceability of any faults that may occur, we feel that it is important that our own quality and environmental goals are made freely available.

At the end of 2003 we became re-certified according to the new standard ISO 9001:2000 and in 2005 according to the new standard ISO 14001:2004. In September 2009 it was time for the next update of ISO 9001 to ISO 9001:2008.
